The bumper-edition Extreme Festival Presented By Coca-Cola this coming weekend (11-12 April) at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit will be boosted with the full host of Regional Roster series on the programme.
Saturday’s programme will commence with the BMW ///M Performance Parts Race Series. Unlike the other regional roster series, which will have their second round after an action-packed season opener, this will be the third round of their 2025 championship. Shaun Dodd (BMW E36 328i) heads up the Series’ points table from Leon Loubser (Monaco Motors BMW E92 335i), defending champion Renier Smith (Fast Development BMW E36 M3 Turbo), Bob Neill (Delmon Mining BMW E92 M3 Turbo), and Eddie Rodrigues (BMW E46 330i), with only five points between them.

Loubser and Neill will also battle it out at the top of Class A, but this weekend will see them also facing fierce onslaughts from Paulo Loureiro (Combined Racing BMW F30 335i), Ryan Naicker (Fast Development BMW E92 M3), and Sav Gualtieri (SavSpeed Auto BMW F30 S65 V8 Turbo). The latter three also tasted Kyalami success in their most recent outings. Smith heads up Class B, where he will be challenged by the likes of Andreas Meier (CEC BMW E36 STC 320it). Salvi Gualtieri (SavSpeed Auto BMW E36 328i Turbo) has moved to the top of Class C, with Hein van der Merwe (SavSpeed Racing BMW E36 328i Turbo) as one of his primary challengers.
The Class D, E & F group will compete separately from Classes A, B & C. In Class D, Bernard de Gouveia (De Gouveia Accountants BMW E46 M3) heads up Class D, with Varish Ganpath (Grobler Motorsport BMW E92 335i) and Michael Grobler (Pest Control Specialists BMW E46 328i Turbo) as primary challengers. Rodrigues has a healthy Class E lead over Wessel Mostert (Mosco Specialised Contractors BMW E46 M3). Dodd is currently ahead in Class F, with Justin Brown (Adlem Automotive BMW E36 328i) being another early contender.

The Ferro Energia 111 & GT Sports & Saloons battle is also set to produce a host of enthralling battles throughout the field. George Economides (Wealth Avenue Volkswagen Golf Turbo) heads up the GT Sports & Saloons field from Mark Du Toit (Trans Africa Racing BMW 118i). Wayne Robb (Ford Focus 225 ST) is heading up the 111 Sports & Saloons Points Table from Tyron Pillay (Tpas Volkswagen Golf MK3), Mike O’Sullivan (All Things Motoring Honda Ballade), and Christopher Tait (Sportex Volkswagen Polo).
In Class A, Robb will face competition from defending champion Wouter Roos (Origen Oil Volkswagen Golf). O’Sullivan’s primary rival in Class B heading into the weekend will be Wayne Lebotschy (Shield Volkswagen Golf). Pillay heads up Class C, where he will compete, amongst others, against Lenard Archer (ACD Welkom Hyundai Getz) and Melanie Spurr (Origen Oil Volkswagen Polo). Christopher Gerber (Executive Auto Spray Volkswagen Polo Vivo) is the early Class D leader, while Tait, who led the way in Class X at his first event, will contest Class C this weekend.

The SuperHatch field will also share the circuit with the Ferro Energia 111 & GT Sports & Saloons field, and some drivers score in both series. One such example is Pillay, the current points leader.

The DOE Formula Vee Partnered With CIM Lubricants championship produced some of the closest racing in the season opener, and they will look to continue their fierce battles. MD Bester (Comfort Makhanya Rhema 2) has a two-point lead over the defending champion Lendl Jansen (Bull Security Rhema 2), with Gert van der Berg (DOE Quality Parts Rhema 2) also in early contention.
The Dunlop V8 Supercars will see Warren Lombard (Pepboys Automotive Ford Mustang) look to extend his advantage at the top. Thomas Reib (Café 9 Automotive Chevrolet Lumina) and Sam Dahl (Arcprotech Ford Falcon) will look to gain an advantage at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit.

Mitch Coetzee (Ethan Coetzee Racing Volkswagen Polo) is on top in the ATE VW Challenge, with his fellow Class C competitor Adriaan de Beer (Ukwazi Engineering Volkswagen Polo) second. The defending Series champion, Class B’s Stuart Mack (Autozone Volkswagen Polo), is third.
Jayden Goosen (Ferro Energia Volkswagen Polo) heads up Class A from Wayne Masters (Performance Masters Volkswagen Polo). Mack’s immediate Class B rivals are Francois Aldrich (Vaporworx Volkswagen Polo) and Chris Davison (GSI – Generator Services Inc Volkswagen Polo), while Philip Croeser (ATE Volkswagen Polo) will battle it out in Class C with Coetzee and De Beer.
