Mere days after the Extreme Festival Presented By Coca-Cola concluded its 2025 season at Zwartkops Raceway, the tour’s management team is starting preparations for 2026, commencing with the announcement of the upcoming calendar.
In 2025, the tour solidified its position as the premium circuit-racing roadshow in South Africa through a combination of fast-paced, entertaining on-track action and a dynamic approach to brand exposure; this recipe for success culminated in increased spectator turnout and greater prominence in the tour’s digital footprint. In 2026, the management team has targeted further growth as it takes the best of South African motorsport across the country and beyond.
With 14 events in total, the calendar will feature a split itinerary, comprising seven rounds each for the national and regional rosters of the tour. As in 2025, these rosters will be split into two core race series groups. Some events will again have series from other tours join on an invitational basis, while some series will also have additional rounds scheduled.
National Roster
The roster will again feature South African Touring Cars, SATC SupaCup, Astron Energy Polo Cup, Investchem MSA4, Formula Ford Kent, and GR Cup, with all of these categories appearing at all the events. The Extreme SuperCars Driven By Dunlop, SunBet ZX10 Masters Cup, and Volkswagen Rookie Cup will see the bulk of their rounds forming part of the tour, but will follow slightly different calendars.
The significant change to the national roster’s 2026 calendar sees the addition of Red Star Raceway. The circuit outside Delmas last hosted a national Extreme Festival leg in 2022, but had a glimpse of national action in October when the Investchem MSA4 and Formula Ford Kent fields joined the regional event. Consisting of three inland and four coastal events, the national calendar will commence at Killarney International Raceway on 14 March, with the season finale scheduled for 17 October at Zwartkops Raceway.

Regional Roster
This roster will again see Dunlop V8 Supercars, DOE Formula Vee Partnered With CIM Lubricants, BMW ///M Performance Parts Race Series, ATE VW Challenge, DigitFMS 111 & GT Sports & Saloons, and SuperHatch series form the backbone of the roster. This group will feature at all the events, with the BMW ///M Performance Parts Race Series also scheduled to hold additional rounds. The BMW ///M Performance Parts Race Series has also hinted at a two-tier championship, set to launch in 2026, with further details to be announced soon.
In 2025, the East London Grand Prix Circuit was added as a replacement coastal round for the regional roster due to logistical concerns regarding the proposed visit to the Automóvel & Touring Clube de Moçambique in Maputo. The good news is that the Mozambique-based circuit has been added to the 2026 calendar, extending the Extreme Festival Tour’s reach beyond South Africa’s borders. Zwartkops Raceway will see both the opening and final rounds for this leg of the tour, on 7 March and 21 November, respectively.

Further details relating to each race series will be announced leading up to the 2026 motorsport season, subject to announcement by the individual tour partners.
